LOUIS VUITTON

In 1854, Louis Vuitton, a trunk maker, opened a luggage store on Rue des Capucines in Paris, considered the first of its kind in the world.
The name Louis Vuitton quickly became known for designing stackable, waterproof trunks made with special cotton fabric.
The Monogram and Damier patterns were created to prevent counterfeiting, becoming iconic symbols of the brand and used across various products.
In 1997 (~2014), American designer Marc Jacobs became Creative Director and opened new markets for Louis Vuitton.
Collaborations with contemporary artists such as Stephen Sprouse, Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, and Hiroshi Fujiwara in the Monogram collection marked a significant turning point, bringing a fresh perspective to the legendary European brand.
